FIRST PASTA FACTORY
Louis Cartier-Milon buys a small pasta factory in Grenoble for 12,000 gold francs.
The factory's annual production is 98,000 kg, which means over 300 kg of pasta leave the
small factory every day.
1900
THE CARTIER-MILLON SONS IN BUSINESS
The three sons (Felix, Gabriel, and Albert) take over the company. Albert works on brand image and packaging. The first cardboard boxes, weighing 250g or 500g net, replace wholesale and jute sacks. The packaging now displays the shape (spaghetti, elbow macaroni, etc.) and the manufacturer's and brand's names, thus becoming a promotional tool for the product and the Cartier-Millon factory.

THE GENESIS OF THE LUSTUCRU BRAND
Albert Cartier-Milon was aware of the need to personalize his pasta and decided to launch a poster competition to advertise his products. The designer Synave won this competition with his poster depicting a box of pasta painted with a blue checkerboard pattern. The name "Lustucru" originated on the same day.
1921
ACCELERATING PRODUCTION PACE
Annual production reaches 3,000 tons. Half of the pasta leaving the factory is branded Pèr'Lustucru (with fresh eggs) and the other half is stamped Mèr'Michel (egg-free pasta). After the First World War, Pèr'Lustucru simply became Lustucru.

THE BEGINNINGS OF THE TV SAGA
First part of Lustucru's TV advertising saga: a cook named Germaine prepares delicious Lustucru fresh egg pasta, making French mouths water! Lustucru increases its poster campaigns for its pasta, which delights, nourishes, and brings joy to French homemakers!
1971
CREATION OF RIVOIRE & CARRET
Rivoire & Carret Lustucru company founded and new factory built in Ourscamp, Oise. This new facility quickly produces over 200 tons of pasta per day.
1984
THE MARTIANS ARE LANDING
A film directed by Etienne Chatilez featuring Martians ready to do anything to discover the secret recipe for Germaine's delicious pasta. A straightforward "No cracked eggs at Lustucru" and a campaign that would make a lasting impression on an entire generation! Germaine, who champions the values of authenticity and modernity, is once again in the spotlight through a series of 6 commercials.
1995
SEVERAL RANGES LAUNCHED!
Lustucru launched its quick-cook pasta range for busy parents in 1995, followed by sun-dried vegetable and green vegetable pasta in 2008, and continues to innovate by offering an organic pasta range! It is the first national brand to offer such a product, with a recipe containing a blend of durum wheat and spelt.
2002
SALE OF A BUSINESS SEGMENT
Sale of the Fresh Pasta and Rice businesses of Lustucru, currently held by the Spanish group Ebro Puleva, and creation of the company Pastacorp, which retains the Dry Pasta business with the Lustucru brand.
2010
MARTIANS ARE BACK
Lustucru is back on TV with the commercial “Le Retour” (The Comeback)! The same protagonists, little green men, land in the era of the Internet and Hollywood blockbusters, but they are still just as fond of Germaine's pasta! Lustucru continues the saga of its advertising character "Germaine" with a new commercial "Germaine et les martiens et la mamma!"
2011
THE BRAND'S 100TH ANNIVERSARY
Lustucru is launching with its century-old recipe using fresh eggs, the ridged elbow pasta, large ridged coquillettes, linguine and gansettes, and hasn't forgotten the little gourmands with pennette and tortillette pasta!
2014
LAUNCH OF THE "LIKE A CHEF!" RANGE
Michelin-starred Chef Thierry Marx has partnered with the Lustucru brand to create the Lustucru Comme Un Chef! range. New products are arriving on shelves with 4 original pasta shapes: Fusili, Mafalda, Linguine, and Spiraline.
2021
LUSTUCRU CELEBRATES 110 YEARS
For the occasion, Lustucru returns to the brand's genesis
with a poster competition in partnership with the ENSAAMA art school. The students' mission: to design Lustucru's anniversary poster. The brand is also reissuing its iconic vintage packs and organizing a big game to collect mythical collector's items, from the iconic miniature truck to the retro enamel colander!

Lustucru is revolutionizing the pasta market with its Les Bonnes Pâtes Françaises range. 100% gourmet, 100% French pasta and 100% paper packaging. A first in the dry pasta aisle!
